Voyage - Apply Now Getting to Know the Opportunity:The Investment
Analytics (IA) group is tasked with improving the fundamental
investment process using quantitative techniques and data
analytics. The group maintains an analytical platform hosting tools
and that help the investment teams improve decision making across
idea generation, portfolio construction, and trading.During this
paid 10-week program, you will have the opportunity to work with
the IA group on a dedicated project to solve a complex investment
problem. The project will involve thorough data analysis,
evaluation of various modeling approaches, and development of an
analytical tool to deliver proprietary insights to the investment
teams. Research areas include factor research, portfolio
construction, portfolio/analyst performance analysis, and/or
trading analysis. Please Note: This position has been designated as
a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will
be finalized with your manager. The Contributions You'll Make:
- Work closely with the Investment Analytics group to solve a
complex investment problem
- Explore financial datasets (traditional, alternative, and/or
proprietary) and develop data pipelines
- Evaluate different statistical methods to solve an investment
problem
- Develop an analytical tool to deliver insights to investment
teams (focus on functionality and user experience
- Communicate underlying research and investment insights to
analytics and investment teams
- Other duties as assignedPreferred Knowledge & Experience:
- Actively pursuing an advanced degree in a quantitative
discipline such as Data Science, Financial Engineering, Statistics,
Operations Research, Computational Finance, etc.
- Strong programming skills with experience in general purpose
programming languages (Python, R, C++)
- Awareness of OO design principles and patterns, data structure,
and algorithms
- Basic knowledge of version control tools (Git), relational
databases (MSSQL), and cloud platforms (Azure)
- Team player, clear and concise communicator, excellent
problem-solving skills, keen attention to detail, and ability to
work in fast-paced environment

pay that's fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for
comparable roles and responsibilities. The below annual base salary
range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in
the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya offers
incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales
incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to
reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please
note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to
perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the
amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this
posting. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted
salary range based upon the candidate's geographic location, work
experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level
and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time
roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours
